Alpha 0.9.0 What to expect In the latest release (0.9.0), many features have been implemented. We are still in an ALPHA development stage, so nothing is 100% complete. Combat, spells, quests, items, loot, even mounts have found their way into the code.
Getting Started To play on the emulator you must first have a legal copy of a compatible Everquest II client. As of some time early 2020 it was discovered that Steam holds a copy of Alter of Malace. Until further notice AoM will be the supported client for EQ2Emulator.net. In order to get the correct client from steam follow this guide for complete instructions. Thanks to Zek team for the custom downloader and for their guide visit their Play on Test Server guide Note: Zek runs their own server and their guide will work just fine for either server you wish to play. You just need to use the address of the server you wish to connect to.	Getting Connected The very first thing you should do is copy the entire contents of the install folder into a separate location. I use C:\EQ2Emu folder and copy, not move, that EverQuest II directory to it. After that there are two methods to setup your client to work with the emulator. First method is using our custom lanucher. Follow the Players:EQ2Emu_Launcher guide to download and get it setup to work with your client. Second method is setting up the client manually. Follow the guide located in the How to Connect section of the wiki to get your client setup to work with the emulator.
Reporting Bugs Everything requires a second look, so when you are playing on EQ2Emulator, we ask that you utilize the /bug command in-game and report anything you find that is not working.
