LUA Functions: GetName(param)

Returns the current name of param. The parameter can be either the targeted player or the NPC.

Syntax

var = GetName(param)


Parameters

Required: param (int)


Notes

param must be one of the vars in the function params. In the example below, it would be either "NPC" or "Spawn"


Usage

 function hailed(NPC, Spawn)
   Say(NPC, "Greetings, " .. GetName(Spawn) .. "! How are you doing today?")
 end

This makes the NPC respond with a personalized greeting to the player, by name.
